Learning motivation is one of the essential factors determining students' academic achievement, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (IRE). One of the habits assumed to influence students' learning motivation is waking up early. Students who consistently wake up early tend to have better physical and psychological readiness before attending school, enabling them to participate more actively in the learning process. This study aimed to determine: (1) students' early rising habits, (2) students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education, (3) the effect of early rising habits on learning motivation, and (4) the magnitude of the effect. This study employed a quantitative approach using a correlational survey design. The sample consisted of 65 students of SMP Negeri 2 Kroya, Indramayu Regency. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, normality tests, Pearson Product Moment correlation, coefficient of determination, and simple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings revealed that students' early rising habits were categorized as good with a mean score of 56.26, while students' learning motivation was also categorized as good with a mean score of 56.69. The Pearson correlation analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between early rising habits and learning motivation (r = 0.758; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.836) indicated that early rising habits contributed 83.6% to students' learning motivation, whereas the remaining 16.4% was influenced by other variables beyond this study. Therefore, early rising habits have a significant positive effect on students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education.
